WK Appliance and Propane Company established the business in 1965 when Bill and Gloria Knutson opened up a small store on Walnut Street in Spooner offering appliances, propane, and heating equipment. Gloria's father, Fred W. Wetzel, started the business in Rice Lake in 1946. We moved to a larger store on Spooner's south side in 1996 and opened our Hayward store in August of 2007. Since then, we've continued to provide the same courteous and professional service that we have since 1946 along with greatly expanding our product lines and service departments, along with huge showrooms for your enjoyment.
